Perry De Silva is the founder of Governa.ai and one of Australia's emerging voices on the intersection of artificial intelligence and aged care compliance. He built Governa with a single conviction: that the providers responsible for caring for older Australians deserve technology that was designed for their world, not adapted from someone else's.

Perry's work sits at a critical moment for the sector. With the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards reshaping expectations across every registered provider, he recognised that compliance was no longer a back-office function - it had become a frontline leadership responsibility. Governa was his response to that shift: an AI-powered platform built specifically for Australian residential aged care, designed to meet providers where they already operate.

Beyond the platform, Perry is focused on a longer-term question - what does accountable, human-centred AI actually look like inside an aged care organisation? His view is that technology should reduce the cognitive load on care teams, not add to it. That means compliance support that's proactive, not reactive. Intelligent, not just automated.

My commitment to aged care comes from decades of working closely with providers, nurses, and frontline teams through Aktrapid Nursing Agency. Over the years, I saw firsthand the growing pressures caused by disconnected systems, increasing compliance demands, and administrative workload taking time away from care. That experience ultimately inspired the creation of Governa.ai - with a focus on building technology that genuinely supports aged care teams and improves outcomes for both providers and older Australians.
