Aged care can't solve tomorrow's workforce challenges with yesterday's recruitment model. We're building a better way for the sector to attract, hire, and keep great people.
Lachlan Henderson is the Co-Founder and CEO of hopstep, an industry-specific marketplace transforming the way the aged care sector attracts, recruits, and retains its workforce. Built specifically for aged and home care, hopstep connects organisations with experienced local talent through a modern, candidate-first experience designed to better match people with meaningful opportunities in the sector.
Driven by a deep belief that workforce challenges are one of the defining issues facing aged care, Lachlan is focused on helping the industry move beyond outdated recruitment models and toward a more connected, sustainable future. Under his leadership, hopstep has grown rapidly across Victoria, partnering with hundreds of care locations to help organisations build stronger teams and improve how they engage talent.
Before founding hopstep, Lachlan built his career across recruitment, workforce strategy, and relationship-driven business development. His experience working closely with aged care providers gave him firsthand insight into the growing disconnect between organisations and the workforce they depend on — and ultimately inspired the creation of hopstep.
Lachlan is passionate about supporting the aged care sector through practical innovation, better workforce experiences, and technology that genuinely solves industry problems. His mission is simple: help aged care become a sector that attracts and retains great people for the long term.
