Director of Product & Development

The aged care sector is full of people trying to solve hard problems with good intentions and not enough information. GenTech exists to close that gap.

About

Devon Passmore is the Director of Product and Development at Ethyx. His role is to take the behavioural science behind Ethyx - powerful, rigorous, and proven - and make it work in the real world of aged care operations. That means building a product people actually want to use, getting it in front of the right decision makers, and making sure the insights it surfaces translate into action on the floor. Devon leads all product management, client development, and commercial strategy for Ethyx, and has been instrumental in bringing the platform to some of Australia's largest aged care providers.

The Fun Stuff
Why Aged Care
I didn't set out to work in aged care. I set out to build products that actually change how people work, and aged care turned out to be the place where that matters most. The sector is full of people doing extraordinary work under enormous pressure, and most of the tools they've been given were designed by people who have never set foot in a facility. That's the gap I wanted to close. Through Ethyx, I get to take rigorous behavioural science and turn it into something a care manager can actually use on a Tuesday morning. And through GenTech, I get to make sure the other founders doing the same kind of work don't have to do it alone. The thing that keeps me here is simple: this sector rewards people who show up and do the work. No fluff, no shortcuts. Just build something useful and prove it works.
